Before Your Appointment
During prom and wedding season (March–October), please allow approximately 6–8 weeks for alterations. Please plan accordingly and bring your garment in early enough before your event. General alterations (pants/skirts/shirt sleeves hem) typically require 2 to 4 weeks.
Rush orders may be available depending on my current workload and capacity, with an additional rush fee:
Same day to 3 days: +50%
4 days to 1 week: +30%
Please bring the shoes you plan to wear with your dress, or a similar pair with the same heel height and style. If you plan to wear shapewear under your dress, please bring it as well — this helps ensure the most accurate fit and proper hem length.
Payment
Payment options accepted: cash, Venmo, Apple Pay, or tap-to-pay card payments (Visa or Mastercard only). Cash and Venmo are preferred. Please note that a small processing fee (~2.5%) applies to card payments to cover transaction costs.
Pricing
The average cost for prom, evening, or bridesmaid dress alterations is $100–$300.
Final pricing depends on the complexity of the work, dress construction, and the amount of alterations needed. More detailed or customized work may increase the cost, while minimal adjustments may reduce it.
Fittings Schedule
All follow-up fittings and pickup appointments will be scheduled in person during your visit to ensure the best possible fit and a smooth alteration process.

Pick Up
I don’t have strict appointment times for pickups, but please send me a quick text before arriving so I know you’re on the way and can try to finish with my current client before you come by.
Completed garments will be stored for up to 10 weeks from the date the client is notified that the order is ready for pickup. After 10 weeks, any unclaimed garments may be considered abandoned and may be donated, discarded, or otherwise disposed of without further notice.
If you see the “Busy” sign, it means I’m currently with a client and may not be able to let you in right away, but I do see that you’ve arrived and will welcome you in as soon as I finish up. Thank you so much for your patience!

How Alteration Pricing Works
Alteration pricing is based on the time, skill, and complexity of the work required — not on the original price of the garment.
Some repairs or alterations may look simple at first, but they can involve much more work than expected. As an experienced tailor, I can usually estimate how much time and labor a particular alteration will require.
My prices reflect the professional time and craftsmanship needed to complete each job properly. Whether an item originally cost $25 or $250, the amount of work required to alter or repair it may be exactly the same.
In some cases, the cost of an alteration may be close to or even higher than the original purchase price of the garment. I am always happy to provide an estimate so you can decide whether the alteration makes sense for you.
How I schedule completion and pickup dates
Please let me know at your first fitting if you need your dress by a specific date.
If no specific pickup date is requested, I will schedule your dress to be ready approximately two weeks before your event. This gives enough time for dry cleaning and for any additional minor alterations, if needed.
If you need the dress earlier, please let me know in advance so I can plan my workload accordingly.
It is also very important to let me know during the first fitting about any fit concerns or body asymmetry that you would like addressed — for example, differences in breast size, arms, legs, shoulders, or other areas, as well as any special considerations related to your bra, undergarments, shoes, or anything else that may affect the fit.
The more information we discuss during the first fitting, the better I can plan the alterations and achieve the best possible result.
